Qur’an and Sunnah (Prophet Teachings) it’s a main source of Islamic Shariah (Islamic Law’s)
Meaning of the Qur’an:
Qur’an means “recitation” in Arabic. Or Read.
Revealed by Allah (SWT) to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by the jibraeel (AS) Over 23 years. And it’s in Arabic language. 114 Surahs (chapters) are there. 30 Juz’ (parts) for ease of recitation.
First Revelation is Surah Al-‘Alaq (96): verses 1–5, in the cave of Hira. Nearby Makka. It’s compiled by officially during the khalifa Abu Bakr and standardized under Uthman ibn Affan. Qur’an it’s talk about Tawheed (Oneness of Allah), talk about Prophethood, talk about Qayamat ( Day of judgement), talk about islamic Laws and Guidance and Stories of Past Nations, etc.
As mentioned Qur’an Allah’s 99 names like Qur’an have also so name according to the Qur’an. Like:
Al-Furqan (The Criterion)
Al-Dhikr (The Reminder)
AL- Azeez (Honorable and Respected)
Al-Kitab (The Book)
Al- Noor
Al-Huda (The Guidance)
The Final Revelation” (Tanzīl).
AL- Noor (Light)
In the Qur’an there are linguistic miracle and unmatched in eloquence.
Even Qur’an also challenge that No one can produce a chapter like it (Surah Al-Baqarah: 23).
Importance of Muslims:
Because we have to recited in prayers (Salah).
Because it’s a main source of Shariah (Islamic law).
Because it’s Guidance for daily life.
Because in the Qur’an scientific & moral teachings, are there that can make better life for every person.
Qur’an promotes charity, justice, and patience, kindness.
